Cebu is taking another step forward as a premier international hub with Philippine Airlines’ (PAL) launch of nonstop Cebu–Guam flights starting December 16, 2025. Operating three times weekly, this new route marks the only direct air link between the two destinations, complementing PAL’s Manila–Guam service.
The addition of this route highlights Cebu’s growing importance as a strategic gateway for leisure and business travel, providing more convenient connections between the Philippines and the U.S. Pacific territory.
Flight Schedule
- Cebu to Guam: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays – departs 9:40 PM, arrives 3:25 AM (local time)
- Guam to Cebu: Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays – departs 5:15 AM, arrives 6:50 AM
Flights will be served by PAL’s Airbus A321ceo aircraft.
“Cebu’s direct connection to Guam strengthens its role as a vital access point to international markets,” said Richard Nuttall, PAL President. “It opens up opportunities for Guam’s large Filipino community and travelers across the U.S. Pacific to easily reach the Visayas and Mindanao, while boosting tourism and trade flows.”
Athanasios Titonis, CEO of Aboitiz InfraCapital Cebu Airport Corporation, emphasized the broader impact: “This new service not only enhances Cebu’s global connectivity but also creates stronger economic and tourism opportunities between Guam and Southeast Asia.”
From Cebu, PAL already flies directly to key Asian cities like Ho Chi Minh, Incheon, Narita, and Osaka, alongside domestic destinations across the Visayas and Mindanao. With the new Guam route, travelers gain even smoother access to international markets.
Home to nearly 30% of Guam’s 179,000 residents, Filipinos hold deep cultural and historic ties to the island. By linking Cebu and Guam, PAL expands opportunities for tourism, trade, and cultural exchange—while reaffirming its legacy as the first Asian airline to serve the U.S. mainland when it landed in Guam in 1946.
Almost 80 years later, Cebu’s nonstop flights to Guam reaffirm PAL’s mission of connecting Filipinos with the world—this time, with Cebu leading the way.
